Unlike the Sharper Image one I'd been fighting with for 3 years...this model takes temps quick. Good readable light. Simple design and cooking internal temps on the back. Not complex with readings for every food you could cook and you don't have to burn your arm hair waiting for the temp to come up. Very good product.
Hand wash but why would you expect anything else.

This reasonably priced fork-thermometer is easy and intuitive to use, versatile, quick-responding, and accurate (I tested it against a standard). It has its heat-sensitive element in the tip of only one tine (not documented, but that's where it is) and, knowing that, it can be used to probe and measure the temperature of a wide variety of foods - or other stuff.

You have to turn the meat. You have to take the internal temperature. Why do you need one pointy thing to turn and one other pointy thing to take the temperature? You don't! This fork does it all. GREAT IDEA.

at the begining i loved every thing about it,then:
1st : i discovered it can vary easly switch on & loose the battery charge if any thing comes near it, so i hanged it away from any thing.

2nd : only after 2 short uses i found it doesn't work so i thought the battery was empty but it didn't work after changing the battery.

3rd : when i was getting the battery out i found the spring at the battery's cover broke & even when i reconected the rest of it it still didn't work.

IT'S SEEMS LIKE IT IS DISPOSABLE OR SOMETHING

i received this product in the mail 5 minutes ago, opened the box and pulled it out for testing. the pos doesn't work. the power won't come on. i replaced the battery with a new one and it still won't light up. I guess I got the 1 in a million that made it through quality assurance defective. great workmanship, guys.
