La Crosse Technology Weather Channel WS-9625TWC-IT Wireless Forecast Station with Oscar Outlook

Very bummed, nice product. But this is Phoenix, AZ and Oscar shows rain and his umbrella when there isn’t a cloud in the sky and no chance of rain at all in the 10 day forecast, as a matter of fact, we are having above temp for early november and very very dry, even for Phoenix.
So, for the last 3 days Oscar had had his umbrella out and the clouds show rain, but there is not even one cloud and nothing coming in the 10 day forecast!!!
Disappointed in this product, or I have a faulty unit. Also it is lame that is shows the sun being out when it is nightime!!! Lame product!!
Update, it is now November 8th at 3am, there is not a cloud in the sky and not rain in the 10 day as usual, yet Oscar wears his stupid umbrella and it shows clouds with rain…..
Is Oscar just mocking me at this point.
Piece of junk!! I would like to decapitate Oscar about now!!!

I bought this as a gift for someone outside of the US. I received it in intact condition, however, when they tried to use it, the temperature does not display, neither indoor nor from the outdoor sensor.
There is no practical way to return it, so I just gifted them some useless paperweight.
BUYER BEWARE!

The unit goes through batteries so fast you won’t believe it. For the last three days it’s been showing rain and the days have been sunny. Not worth buying!

The unit works fine except for 2 things. It won’t receive the updates unless I place it on the windowsill overnite. The outdoor sensor is ok as long as the sun does not hit it. If it does the temperature shoots way past what it really is. I placed it under a window canvas cover on the west side of the house where there is also shade from some trees and the temp still goes way up.

We’ve had a previous version of this type of weather station, but after quite a few years, I could never get it to sync up with the outside transponder. In addition, the new model automatically reads your time from the atomic clock radio broadcast. This is a really nice touch. Fresh batteries are a must, and following the order of start up is key too. It took a couple of tries before this new one synced to the outside sender, but once it did, everything works as advertised. I especially like the max and min temp and humidity that cycles on a daily basis.
