This thermometer became erratic soon after we bought it, and it failed completely in less than a year.
    Rating: 1 / 5

  2. Teri Bidwell says:

I’ve owned this thermometer for several years and it has failed as often as it has worked. When the temperature gets down toward zero (when you care most about knowing the temperature outside) it only displays LLL. If the battery in the transmitter is toward the low end of its charge store, there is not enough power to send the signal to the receiver which displays only a line of dashes. If the receiver battery is low, it may still display only dashes even if the transmitter is sending a strong signal.

Too many things can go wrong with this unit, I would not recommend it to a family member.
    Rating: 2 / 5

  3. The wireless thermometer operates well, most of the time. Though I have twice replaced the batteries in both the sending and receiving units, periodically the digital read-out of the temperature outside does not function.
    Rating: 3 / 5
