If you purchase the Chaney Wireless Monitor, DO NOT follow the instructions on batteries. It will not work with anything but low grade generic batteries. If you try the recommended lithium batteries, you are in for a surprise. It will not work. Also, you can forget setting the upper and lower temperature limits. Have tried too many times to follow written instructions with absolutely no success. If you call the manufacturer, be prepared for a 10-20 minute wait and then you get some one with attitude. We just use our to visually monitor our appliances. It does the job on this.

I use it on a side by side refrigerator and it has been working perfectly for a couple months now. Great product.

This product works as advertised. We have it installed in our RV. It is important to monitor RV refrigerators more carefully due to power source options and constant environmental changes. The wireless function works very well and allows easy installation. The suction cups for the sender units don’t hold very well, probably due to road bumps. We lay them down near a side and their accuracy is still good; checked with a thermometer. The batteries appear to last for at least six months. Wall mounting was difficult so I used heavy duty velcro, which works fine. It also has a table stand, for counter use. The alarms can be very helpful, especially with changing conditions.

I read a previous review when only one of the sensors worked. This also happened to me. It doesnt make sense but this is the case.

I inserted the batteries (and the type batteries) as instructed and it has functioned as claimed. I have only had the item for 3 weeks and the freezer is directly below the kitchen on the lower level of our home and that makes distance from the transmitters very close and it has worked great.
