  1. I have several problems with this product. The directions were brief and stated the obvious but contained no detail as to how to use the memory mode to program any alert temperature. There are no pictures to show how the stand/belt clip works. I have no clue how to get the user mode to be anything but 145 degrees. The FCC notice was more extensive than directions for the using the thermometer.

The first time I used it I made a turkey. The transmitter turned off after two hours. Not convient when the bird was far from being done. The second thing it did was alert me to check the bird every eight degrees. When the bird went from 40 to 185 that is over twenty times in the cooking process. I was ready to smash that beeper by the time the turkey was done. I want it to alert me just once, about ten degrees before the meat is done.

If you are happy using pre set temperatures and can stand all the beeping it does the remote unit it is easy to read.
